Insert video in text and image posts

A Text & Image template can now be coded to allow video in the image field, where previously you could only insert images.

The image field is coded to allow either image, video or both. This allows you to choose whether an image field should only allow image, only video or both.

Videos are inserted in the same way as images by clicking the folder icon (to select a video from the file library) or the upload icon (to upload a video to the specific post).

When a video is inserted into the template, the post automatically gets the same viewing time as the length of the video, in the same way as a regular video post.

A template can contain multiple image fields and video can be displayed in multiple fields in the template at the same time. In this case, the display time will correspond to the length of the longest video. The shortest video will stop on its last frame and wait for the display time of the longest video. Then the next post will be displayed.

The coding of the template is done by the administrator or dnp Visiosign.

Folder structure on the solutions menu

In version 1.26, editors also have a folder structure for the solutions they have access to.

This is a great advantage for editors who have access to a larger number of Solutions – for example, in multiple geographical locations – because it creates a better overview.

Instead of the flat list, the folders in which the Solutions are located are now shown. You can always switch between the folder structure and the flat list by clicking the cross over the folder structure to get a flat list of all available Solutions. Visiosign Cloud remembers the editor’s preference for flat list or folder structure.

Editors cannot create new folders, rename or delete existing folders or move Solutions from one folder to another. This must be done by the administrator or dnp Visiosign.

Text and image templates can be responsive

Although this feature will hardly be evident in the editor’s daily work, it is a significant improvement for creating and implementing new templates.

Before the creation of this feature, a template had to have exactly the same dimensions as the channel in which it was to be displayed, but with responsive templates, the same template can be used in any channel – with the proviso that the aspect ratio of the channels are not miles apart. The template’s code defines how wide a range in aspect ratio the template will accept.

Responsive templates are coded by administrator or dnp Visiosign.

Here are the improvements:

A number of existing features in Visiosign Cloud have been improved. These include the following:

Impersonate user during creation (for administrators)
When creating (or editing) a user, you can impersonate that user on the fly. This provides better clarity because it is often easier to determine whether a user has the correct rights by impersonating the user, rather than looking at the list of assigned rights.

All info-modals are now larger and better organized
When you click on the i-icon for a Channel, Solution, Design or other object in Visiosign Cloud, a new and clearer modal appears. This makes the relevant information more accessible.

Languages and default date formats
All languages have been added for date lookup. Also standard date formats in Spanish, Portuguese and Mexican Spanish.
